A network you cannot leave has no incentive to stay good. Making export instant means the only thing keeping anyone here is whether the product is worth paying for this month. That is a healthier pressure than lock-in.
What Export Includes
Everything you created, plus the comments others left on your posts, with their consent recorded at the time. It does not include other people’s posts from your circles — those are theirs to export.
The Uncomfortable Consequence
Some people export and leave. We see it, we do not email them about it, and the number is smaller than the number who export simply to have a backup. That was not obvious before we shipped it.
